Design is good to the degree that it makes things better.
I'm a Staff Product Designer at Etsy, where I focus on design systems and help teams build better products at scale.
My journey in design began in 2003 when I stepped into a senior interactive design role while still in school. Over the next 18 years, I led design teams across various industries, developing a multidisciplinary approach that spans product design, branding, and user experience. I've designed everything from mobile apps and websites to logos, design systems, data visualizations, and even games—each project teaching me that great design transcends medium.
I believe the foundation of exceptional design is an innate sense of quality. Just as a chef needs a refined palate or a musician needs a good ear, designers must develop an appreciation for what makes experiences truly meaningful. This philosophy has guided my work from early projects at Gibson Guitar to leading product design at Nudge, and now building design systems that empower teams to create consistently excellent experiences.
When I'm not designing, you'll find me exploring photography, particularly Japanese zen gardens, or planning the next adventure with my family.
